blowing up pics

When I insert an image into Word it doubles it's size and I have to
resize it down again. How can I get Word to insert an image in its
original format?? Thanks.

A work around would be to change the margins for that part of the page or
the margin which will restrict the size of the image upon inserting. Word
has a tendency to sometimes fill (as much of the page that it can) with high
resolution images. Alternatively, you'd have to alter the image first.
Changing the margins will probably work for you. Simply changing the side
margins should do the trick as word doesn't change the proporations
automatically.
