bookmark is *changing its formatting*

I have not been able to reproduce this effect, but my colleague, who uses
bookmarks in a mail merge situation (the merge sends in the bookmark name so
that an entire paragraph with proper formatting is the result) is seeing
bookmarks indent themselves and bold the 3rd and 4th words of the imported
text. Both of these effects (the indentation and the bolding of 2 words) is a
repeat of formatting already in each of the possible paragraphs -- one
indentation, and the 1st and 2nd words bold. It doesn't happen in each record
that is merged, and it seems to happen on some of the bookmarks and not on
others.
Any theories?

Hi Mary,

You may want to use the link below to also post this in the Word Mailmerge discussion group and when posting there please include
the version of Word you're using and the type of data file that is being used for the merge as well.
