Bought Student Edition by mistake--OPPS!

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I just realized today that I bought the student edition after having the software installed on my mac and been using for about a month now. I was told by the company that sold us the software that this is the FULL version-which it is; however, I need Exchange Server support for my business. I am a little upset but thought there must be a way around this.
Does anyone know if Microsoft has a way of letting people buy the next license to update the student edition? I will be calling Microsoft tomorrow but wanted to have some information before I called them.
Thanks for the help! Anything helps!

Thanks,
Joshua

Your best bet is a discussion with Microsoft. You may have some luck
returning the student edition and purchasing the full version. "Upgrade" is
a license term. Each version contains a full version, the existing
installation is not upgraded.

Legally, the Home & Student version cannot be used by a business so they
should not have sold this to you for business use.

Microsoft will honor returns through the retailer where you purchased the
product or by contacting Microsoft directly:

You might want to make sure that the spell check feature works
regardless of which version you end up with. It's spelled *oops*,
retard.

That is not a helpful answer. Watch out or you'll end up on everyone's kill
file list and not get any help when you need it.

Yeah, I guess it's too much of an effort to look at the screen before
pressing ENTER.

You just don't learn, do you. Did you hear that sound? ...it was me adding
your name to my kill file.

Yeah, sorry about that. We're still trying to get him potty-trained. But
that requires a certain level of maturity. We're waiting...
