Hi

I raise this issue again, in the hope someone can help!

In Word 2000 - not 2002 which seems to have all the info
about this feature, when I put a bullet on a selected
line /lines, it appears on every line in the document.

I have looked at the Automatically update flag, but this
is not set on ANY of the styles in the document.

This feature is ONLY happening on my machine, and the same
document(s) can be editted with no problems by other
users. Does this point to it NOT being a template issue?

Andrea,

Click your cursor in the line where you placed the bullet.
What style is applied to it? Also, did you use the bullet
button on the toolbar to create the list? Not a good idea
if you want to maintain control.

Thanks for your reply.
The style of the line before the bullet was 'norm' (a
slight change from normal). When I put the bullet on, the
style has changed to Normal, but the other lines which now
have bullets on them are as they were.
Yes, I did use the bullet button on the toolbar. I'll
have a look at the reference you sent. I don't like the
sound of this!!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I've created styles for the bullets and everything is
beautiful in the world again! thanks again
