business contact manager will not install

When I attempt install of BCM I get the error message could not configure
Microsoft SQL server. I have tried deleting Microsoft SQL Server folder and
tried loading again. Didn't work. I also followed the tip about re-naming
the folders and files with a -old extesion as pointed out in the tip on
microsoft website. Still getting the same error. Any other suggestions?
