business invoice in Publisher 2003, can you set it to auto-number

I am attempting to design a business invoice.
I want to auto-number them such that when I bring one up for a new customer,
it automatically increments by "one", i.e., 50045 then goes to 50046, etc.!

You may want to use Excel to do this. But, you may be better served used a
SMB Accounting Program.

There is no automatic way Publisher will know what your next number will be. You
could bring up your invoice, manually add the number, save. Next time you open
the invoice change the number by one and save as a new file. Mail merge would be
useful only if all the invoices have the same information throughout.

Yes, to the logo. Go to: office.microsoft.com and click on templates. Then in
the search area, type "excel invoice". Your results will show a wide range of
invoice templates, some with calculations, etc. You can even connect them to
a mini database to store the incrementing numbers. You can use the built-in
template in Excel (Wizard), too.
