Calanders

Can I change the default calander that Project opens a new project with? I
know I can create a new calander in project, but I don't seem to be able to
change the default and have project use the calander I created to open a new
project. I know this sounds stupid but I am importing 100's of small projects
with a baseline created in excel by addition formulas. When I import the file
to a new project file it compensates for week end days and adds to my task
start and finish, but as you know the baseline fields are not caalulated
fields in project, so they don't change with the start and finish dates. This
throws my baseline off from my task. Any ideas?

Hi Tony,

Are these 2 independent questions or is there any relation between the 2
that I fail to see?
To open a new project with a calendar you made,
Tools
Organizer
Calendars
Copy the calendar you made to the "Standard" calendar of Global.mpt

Jan,
I guess it was a question with an explanation. It boils down to this; Can I
change the default in MS Project as to which calender it opens with? Thanks
for all the help.

Hi,

What exactly do you mean?
Microsoft Project does not open "with a calendar"
Each Project has several calendars one of them being the project calendar
I told you how to make a calendar you make the project calendar for each new
project.
What else do you want?
