Calculate Actual Work

L

labrach

Hi all
The work column gives the total work of a task/project (work between
start and finish date)

I would be able to calculate the current work of a Project (work
between the start date and a current/given date)
This is very usefull when trying to report on cost by month for
example
Is that possible ??

thanks

Hello labrach,

You may find that looking at the Task Usage view with the Cumulative
Work field added to the right (timescaled) size gives you what you are
looking for.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

If you create a temporary working baseline in one of the spare baseline
fields (baseline1 - baseline10) and then set the status date to whatever
date interests you, then the BCWS column will give you the work
currently scheduled between the start of an activity and the status date
you chose. Be careful not to overwrite your real baseline.

Thanks all
You gave me 3 alternatives, I've first tryed Julie's solution (I'm
gallant :)
The <cummulative work> gives me exactly what I was looking for.
thank you again
