Calculating meeting that lasts for 2 hours with 7 people

Hi,

I have several tasks that lasts for multiple hours involving more then one
resource. How do I enter this in project so it will calculate the hours as a
multiple of the duration X resources?

Hello,
Set the task with a 2 hour duration. Double click on the task to
show the Task Information dialog box. On the advanced tab, uncheck
"Effort driven". Assign the 7 resources as usual. The task
duration will be 2 hours - the total work will be 14 hours.

Hey Julie,

What do you do if it is a reocurring taks-do you have to go one by one?
Clicking the taks does not open all of the occurances?

Select all the occurances, click the "info" icon in the toolbar, and change
them all to non-effort driven. When you assign resources to the parent
summary they will propagate down to all the occurances. FYI, this is the
ONLY exception to the rule "Never assign resources to summary tasks."
