Calculating planned percente Completion

Stevan

Hi!

I would like to planned and actual activity percent completion. I do not
want to add any resources. Is it possible to get palnned percent completion
just based on activity duration, so we can find out how many percent of each
activity should be completed each week.

Thanks,

Stevan

This is ordinary %Complete.
You may find out what %Complete (as a function of time) that a task should
be complete on a specific date as follows:

1. Set project Status Date: Project/Project Information/Status Date.
2. For the task(s) in question: Tools/Tracking/Update Project...
You can select "selected tasks" or "entire project" as necessary.

You may also click on "Update As Scheduled" from the tracking toolbar.

The Percent Complete column should be used for tracking purposes. If you
want to remember what %Complete you should be on a specific date, you may
want to copy the data from the %Complete field into a spare field such as
Text1. Then you can go back and change %Complete to the true actual value.

Another alternative is to use the Physical%Complete or %Work Complete
fields. However, since you do not have resources or costs in your schedule,
the values will not accummulate properly at the summary levels using this
method.

Hi Stevan
From the tools menu select tracking-update project.
Put the date as per you which you want to know the progress.

Set 0-100% complete.
For all the task project will automatically calculate planned %complete as
per that day.

Hope this helps
