Calculation error in rolled-up task

I have a rolled-up task where the calculated total for Work is double the
actual sum of the sub-tasks. Is there a way to fix this without deleting the
sub-tasks and re-adding them. I am using Project Standard 2002 with SP1.

Hi,

Delete the assignment on the summary task level. That doubles the work.

This does not resolve the issue.

The task has a single assignment and the manhours are 8 hours. Remove the
assignment and the manhours reduces to zero but the rolled-up task reduces by
16 hours. Apply a new assignment to the task with 8 hours work, the
rolled-up task on calculation increases by 16 hours.

Thank you for the offer, but I have resolved the issue by deleting the
rolled-up task and sub-tasks and re-entered them with the identical
information and it re-calculates correctly now. As there was only 6 tasks it
was not a big chore.

The better!
I'm still convinced a resource was assigned to theh summary task...
