Calendar - day 1, day 2 etc

Hello
I teach MS project and I have a simple question that is so simple I cannot
find the answer.

How do I set the task calendar to "days". Day 1, day 2 etc. For students
new to Project it's easier to start this way and then move on to dates.

Hi Dave,

You can change the timescale to show different labels including D1, D2,
etc. Try the Format > Timescale menu and change the labels on the bottom
tier as you need.

The date format choices in the table views (left side of the gantt
chart) can be modified through Tools > Options, View tab. There is not
an option for showing D1, D2 etc. in the date format.
