Calendar in Publisher 2007

Trevor

I want to create a calendar style, and simply be able to change the month of
the calendar, keeping the formating of my template the same, and my images as
well.

I'm assuming I can use templates or master pages or something, but I can't
seem to figure it out. I've done it in previous versions of Publisher, but
can't seem to figure it out with this new version, of which I just downloaded
the trial version.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

I've never used Master Pages before, but my understanding of it is that it
can be used for background stuff, not the actual calendar. I want to be able
to make changes to the actual calendar (size, colours, placement of dates and
month name, etc...) and have those get transfered to the next month.

I believe in the previous version of Publisher that I was using I was able
to right click on the calendar, and change the month of the calendar...

I'd hate to have to make all the changes I want to make to the calendar 12
different times...

A master page would do the trick. Did you look up master page in the Help
file? It's not *that* much different from Pub 2003.

I'd completely design one month and then copy that page to the next. I'd use
a master page for the grid and for guidelines for various features. I'm sure
there are other ways to do it but that's how I'd handle it.

I have a holiday calendar on my website that has every month on the master page.
You can have as many master pages as you have publication pages. You could
download the calendar so as to get an idea how it works.

Thanks JoAnn and Mary,

Instead of messing around with Master Pages, which wasn't really helping me,
what I'm actually doing is putting my text box and graphics in the Content
Library, and then just pulling them from there for each page of my
calendar... it's making things not too tough...

I still think it would be better if the calendar was a changeable thing
where I could right click on it and change the month, but this is working for
me.

Thanks,
Trevor
