Calendar Question

Karen

It’s been a while since I set up the calendar I need for my company – When I
set up the calendar, I set up a template as well. When I open the template
and then open the “Project Information†dialog box, the calendar I created is
in the drop-down box. My dilemma is: I have to train a few employees how to
use Project. I thought it would be easier to give them a copy of my
calendar. Where is the calendar stored? Is it possible to just e-mail the
calendar I have already created?

Thank you, Karen

Hi Karen,

You can copy the base calendar you created using the Organizer dialog box
(Tools > Organizer) to another project file. Your other users can then
reverse the process to copy the base calendar into their Global MPT file.
The custom base calendar would them be available in all project.

You may also want to consider just giving them a copy of your template file
with the calendar already in it.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

This may be what you're looking for. Go to tools>change working time and
bring up the one you want to email. Hit print screen on our key board. Open
an email and right mouse click below the subject line and hit paste.
This will show them how to set up the canendar and will also be good pratice
for them. I set up an excel spread sheet with all hte possible calendars for
training purposes.
