Calendar View of Resources in Project 2003

Hello -

I work scheduling 7 trainers to conduct various classes. I'd like to
assign each trainer a separate colour, and have each bar display their
colour in the 'calendar' view of Project 2003. I managed to get each
colour flagged separately in the Gantt Chart view, but when I go to
Calendar, all the views are task-based, and I cannot figure out if it
is possible to view in the manner I've described.

With thanks in advance -

Hi Cat,

Unfortunately as you have found, the Calendar View in MS Project is
quite limited. The only formatting options for bars in the view can be
found in Format > Bar Styles. The only two you have any control over
are the bar styles for "marked" and "highlighted" tasks. Marked tasks
are the tasks you have set the marked field to yes and highlighted tasks
are those tasks which are dispalyed with a highlight filter.

Instead of attempting to display all of the trainers' tasks in one
calendar view, how about applying filters to only display one trainer's
tasks? You could create different views of the Calendar view with the
filters applied for each trainer to make printing easier.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
