hi Dave,
When you change default settings for start and end times, you may want to
consider matching the project calendar by changing working time. Click Change
Working Time on the Tools menu, select the days you want to change, and then
type the new start and end times in the From and To boxes. To change a day of
the week for the entire calendar, select the day at the top of the calendar.
Microsoft Office Project uses the default start time when you enter a start
date without specifying a time and the default end time when you enter a
finish date without specifying a time. For example, if you enter a finish
date of 10/20/04 for a task but don't enter the end time, Project uses the
default end time. The task is scheduled according to the assigned project,
task, or resource calendar. For example, if the project calendar specifies a
start time of 8:00 P.M., and you set the default start time to 7:00 A.M., a
new task you enter with a start date of 10/20/04 will start at 8:00 A.M., not
7:00 A.M. The time from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. is non-working time. However,
the task will have a Start No Earlier Than (SNET) constraint of 10/20/04 7:00
A.M.
Kind regards,
