Camcorder suggestions

Pdek

Dear all,
I'm considering buyin a new camcorder (do they still call them that?).
The first consideration is size - I want to be able to carry it around more
or less "in my coat pocket."
The second consideration is that 'd like to be able to record the output
onto a CD or DVD and play it easily on my computer or DVD player.
The 3rd consideration - this is where you guys come in - is that I might
like to put short pieces of output into a PowerPoint presentation. So which
formats/camcorders are the best for using in PowerPoint?
My guess is that you all will swamp me with info - do I have this? or that?
Well, I'm guessing that it will take me a long time to find out the
technical questions,
but that there are some formats that will be fairly easy to "back-fit" and
others that
will be very difficult. In short - any general recommendations?
AS always,

Pete

Don't know if this is the best place to ask about Camcorder recommendations,
but may Austin or Troy might be able to give you some good guidance.

As for video playback in PowerPoint that's more a function of the software
that you use once you've captured the video from the camera.

Personally I have a very inexpensive Sharp VL-Z5U Digital Camcorder that I'm
very happy with. The only feature I miss is the ability to input video from
an external source.

Personally I had problems with my PhotoSmart Camera making vidoes that could
not be put on powerpoint. I downloaded PFCMedia and it fixed everything. We
use it at my church to solve alot of problems with the videos we take so we
can project them with PowerPoint onl the big screen
