Can Appleworks 6 files be opened in Microsft Office/Word/Excel/ .

I have spreadsheet files compiled inAppleworks 6 on CD- Can they be opened in
Excel --if so how ?

I don't believe that XL has an Appleworks translator, though Appleworks
can save in XL format.

Either open them in Appleworks and convert them, or, if you'll be
getting a lot of these, investigate a translator, like Conversions Plus
from DataViz.
