Can data in one text box automatically appear in another?

I am trying to design a form in Publisher, and would like to link text boxes
so that data entered in one will automatically appear in another on the same
page. Is this feasible?

I can't phantom why anyone would create a form in Publisher that would have to be
filled out on a computer. I've scanned forms, put them on a background and filled
them in with text boxes. My handwriting is atrocious...
I think this poster wanted to type "Crash Gordon" in one box and have it appear in
another box at the same time. I assume the poster was wanting to use this as a web
page element. I've seen this behavior on web sites, no where else.

Trying to guess at the purpose of creating an automated form that only users that
have Pub will be able to complete...(?). I'm thinking a fillable pdf would be a
better solution.

What's your guess Mary?

Actually I am trying to design a receipt for a non profit organization. It
would need to be used on only one computer, and I am aiming for something
that would provide three copies on one page -- one for the donor's record,
one for income tax submission, and one for the organization's records.
Consequently, it would be nice to type the name and address in one text box,
and have it appear in two others (on the other receipts) on the same page. I
like Publisher, and was hoping to be able to use it.

Again, it would depend on how you are going to use it, I think.

If you're gonna sit at a desk as people donate money (like at a fundraiser even) and you want to issue a receipt to them on the fly...I'd create a fillable .pdf.

If on the other hand you issue reciepts to many people, say at the end of the month, and mail them out enmasse, then I think mail merge and Pub would be the way to go.

Thanks. As this will be more of an "on the go" type of thing, it looks like
the .pdf format will be the way to go.

Thanks. I considered a merge, but it was going to be too cumbersome a
process to work for us here.
