can I merge to a new doc?

In previous Publisher versions (2000) I was able to merge an Access database into a Publisher document and save the Publisher document so that I could manipulate individual records. How can I do this in Publisher 2002?? Do I have to create 10 different Publisher sheets so that I can manipulate 10 records out of 50? I run on Windows XP Professional. Thank you.

PS. There are several features that have changed from the 2000 Office package to the 2002 Version that frustrate me and do NOT make my work easier or faster. :(
