Can i open later versions of Publisher in Publisher 97?

I need to open a .pub but it will not open in Publisher 97.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You cannot open a Publisher document composed in 98, 2000, 2002 or 03 with Publisher
97.
It is a tricky operation to convert a Publisher document down to 97. If you really
need it, send it to me and I will convert it for you. You will lose some formatting.
