can I reset single/two page toggle permanently for a publication?

If I select a single page document, whatever I do next the single/two page
toggle
reverts back to the two page spread. Is it possible to reset the toggle
default and how?

No replies-doesn't MS cotton to questioning the wisdon of resetting defaults?

My problem is with the word "toggle"...
If you have a one page document, then you can't view a two page spread. The only time
you can select a two page spread is when the page is setup as a booklet or your
document is four or more pages.

I just created a blank full page document by clicking the X on the Catalog
when starting Publisher, inserted 5 pages, and went to View > Two-Page
Spread.
The document viewed as two-page spreads.

I'm a little confused by your answer. I guess if I enter a one page spread document I can only view it as a two page spread. What about the original question?

I was responding to Mary's comment, as it is possible to view single-page
documents in two-page spreads

I have no idea why your copy of Publisher is refusing to stay at the
spread-view you choose. Mine does, on a per-publication basis at least. If
I go on to create another booklet publication, it will always default to
two-page spreads, and if I go on to create another single-page publication,
it will always default to one-page spreads. This is expected and standard
behaviour. There are far more pressing defaults to address than this
setting in that respect.
