Don answered that on a 20 page booklet it will print 1&2 and 19&20 on the
first sheet. However I have moved from another print program that allows me
to print 1&4 and 2&3 on either side of the first sheet. Then 5&8 and 6&7 on
the next sheet etc. This is very convenient for home printing. I had hoped I
could do the same when moving to MS Publisher. The final booklet could be
over 100 pages and the way Publisher seems to be set that would mean 1&100
and 1&99 on the first sheet etc. That would not be suitable for printing and
"binding" at home with my little injet and stapler.

Don, Thanks for your advice but I am preparing a family history booklet and
doing it in sections. I want to be able to print sections as I go for
circulation around the family. The 4 page printing option in the other
program I was using before moving to MS publisher met mey requirements in the
printing option but had other shortcomings. I take it that you do not see any
way to reset the Publusher booklet print options which is a pity. But I still
hope someone has a solution.

This makes the document look different when it is bound, but allows for
different binding options than when the document is printed in the standard
way.

You can accomplish this manually by going to File > Print > Pages 1 to 4 >
Print as Separate Booklet: Yes.

Ed and Don,

Many thanks for your replies. It looks a good solution. Sorry for delay in
reply but I have only just finished breakfast in Australia.

Have a good Xmas

Very good! 'Don't think I'll have a need for it but it's good to know it's
available.

Merry Christmas,
