You can store the name of the printer either in hidden text or
in File=>Properties in your document and use an Autoopen
macro to select/set that printer when the document is opened,
but another person opening the document would need to have
the same named printer setup on their machine.
If that would be a workable solution for you check with the
folks in the Word VBA/macro begginers newsgroup (links below)
for specifics on setting it up and include the version of
Word you are using.
