Can Not Delete Words or Senteneces from Document

For some reason I cannot delete whole words and sentences
from my document. I have tried but the best that I can do
is to delete words one char at a time, even though I
select the word or sentence when I press the delete key
nothing happens. I have had to revert back to using DOS
commands to make the delete happen. This get old
sometimes. Help.

Click "Tools", "Options", on the "general" TAB, uncheck the two checkboxes
for WordPerfect. You should have been seeing a confirmation to delete the
text (similar to in WordPerfect). This turns it off. Should be able to
delete your heart away!
