Can not open excel file

How do I clear the Windows\Temp file?
Also, I used the quick view option under the properties
tab, it appears to be pulling in data from the internet,
such as news and sport scores, all todays data.

In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Temp folder and delete the files by
selecting them an pressing the Del key.

A quick way to get to the windows temp folder:

Windows start button|run
%temp%

and hit enter

And you may want a VBS script (I keep a shortcut on my desktop) so I can clean
whenever I want:
