can not open files HELP PLEASE

downloaded files from old computer to disc and up loaded on to new laptop but
when trying to open the files in publisher it comes up publisher can not
open files from diffient version but they are publisher and I have tried
everything i can think of with no joy please if anyone can help

Do you have Norton? If so, follow what the article advises in the URL I
provided.

Look at your firewall, is it blocking your opening the files?

Do you have a default printer selected? Publisher needs a printer selected in
the Printer folder in the control panel.

Try a detect and repair. If you still can't open the file, send it to me. I'll
check to see if it is damaged. What version Publisher are you using? Are the old
files the same version?
