Can old .pst files be imported to Outlook XP?

I've been using Outlook XP, with a unicode archive, for a few months.
However, I've also got some old .pst files, including a non-unicode archive
file.

Is it possible to merge these old .pst files into my existing Outlook XP
application?

Outlook XP (actually Outlook 2002) didn't use the Unicode .PST format...only
Outlook 2003 does. Are you sure you meant to say XP?

In any event, the best way (though not necessarily the fastest or most fun
way) to merge .PST files is to open them all in the Folder List using File |
Open | Outlook Data File, and then drag and drop items from one to the
other. User created folders can be dragged and dropped in their entirety;
for default folders like Inbox, you'd need to switch to an unfiltered table
view such as By Category, select all items using CTRL+A, and drag them to
the Inbox in the other .PST.
