Can Outlook text me calendar notifications?

I use outlook for work, but most of my work is done out in the field. I
would be great if I could get texted those alerts as a notification o
the computer does me no good unless I go to the computer prior to m
appointment. 1. I don't have e-mail on the phone. 2) I can text mysel
the appointment via (e-mail address removed), but I don't want it texte
immediately, I want it texted say, 30 min. before the meeting, not jus
when I create the appointment. Is this possible

While I agree it would be useful, Outlook cannot send notifications via
e-mail or SMS.

There are SMS utilities that can do it and if you subscribe to an sms
service, you can configure sms alerts in outlook 2010 (file, options,
mobile).
