can .php (microsoft picture it!) files be converted to .pub files"

I have some "old" .php files that I would like to get converted to .pub files
or any other more contemporary format. Does anyone have a thought as to how
this might be done?

I'm guessing you wish to preserve the layers
for future editing purposes?

If you open the .php files in any version of MS
Picture It! (2002 or later) or Microsoft Digital
Image...you can resave them in the .png-plus
format. Problem is...no other software will
recognize the layers (even after conversion).

JoAnns suggestion of copy/paste into Publisher
would only be useful if you did it one element
at a time because if you copy/paste a complete
project all you will have is an image (picture) of
the project...not editable layers.

Even though the last version of MS Digital Image
was released in 2006 and the product line has
been discontinued....there's still a 60 day trial
version available for download if you would like
to give it a try:

Microsoft Digital Image
Starter Edition 2006

(this product line has been
discontinued but you can still
download the Starter Version
and run it for 60 days)

Copies can still be found at online sites like
Amazon and eBay. The last version was called
"Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 Anniversary Edition"
(this version is optimized for Vista)

Support on the 2006 version continues until
10-12-2010
