can send but not receive

All of a sudden, I'm not able to receive any of my email
messages. I can send just fine, and the server is
downloading my messages, but no messages are coming into
my Outlook Inbox.

Help!

Have you checked the authentication settings on your account properties?
Sounds like the ISP may have recently changed this option to help prevent
spammers. Contact your ISP to check on the settings.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Tami asked:
