Can someone help troubleshoot my problem pasting text into Outlook

Joe

Every single time I try to paste into Outlook 2003 on my home computer, and
only on Outlook (and none of my other Outlook programs I use on any other
computers), the FIRST time I try to copy or cut and paste text (it is usually
from Internet Explorer, such as a web address or text from a website) into an
Outlook email, I receive an error message -- a little exclamation mark that
indicates that there is a picture with no data (or something of the sort).
It is as if the item did not copy.

So then, every time, I do it again, and it copies correctly.

Is this a bug, and if so, can someone help me fix it? It is VERY annoying,
and it has been going on for some time -- and I have finally gotten fed up!

Thanks,

is the message open before you copy? under certain circumstances, the
clipboard is cleared when you open new forms.

Diane:

I never looked at this before, but I tried it this morning and I had success
pasting when I already had Outlook and the message open before I cut and
pasted -- and I had the same problem again when I cut, opened Outlook, and
then pasted. So, while I am not yet ready to say that we have isolated the
only time this problem works, it does look like it may be a fix -- and I'll
try it. I.e., if the fix is to make sure Outlook is open at the time I am
cutting, I could try to remember to do that.

It seems strange, however, because when I try to cut, then open another
program (say, Word), then paste, I do not have this problem -- and I have not
had this problem in other Outlook programs (I have Outlook on my computer at
work, as well. Why might opening Outlook clear that clipboard, but only on
my home PC?

Thanks
Joe

I know this is 3.5 years later, but anyone know where I could find more
information about this?

For about the last 2 months, every time I open a new email, my clipboard
gets cleared completely every single time. Doesn't matter what I have copied,
or if I am even trying to paste it into the email. clears the clipboard each
and every time, and is driving me crazy.
