can you hide folders in folder list

is it possible for you to hide folders (calendar,
contacts, notes, journal etc) in the folder list in
outlook 2003?

We are using an add-in enabling shared folders and these
other folders are now not needed...

No, you can not hide these. Note that you can use the Mail Navigation to
show only mail folders. Otherwise use the Shortcuts Navigation to build your
own list.
