can you insert powerpoint slides into a publisher document?

help!! last minute request:
Am trying to create a participant guide in publisher - want to have one
section comprise the side deck - as handout pages (mini version of slides
with lines for notes next to each slide).
Is there a way to insert that view of the slides into a publisher doc, and
maintain the integrity of the page numbering?

You may not need to do that. Have you tried using PowerPoint's Notes Page
and then print that?

Save the PowerPoint file as graphics and insert them.
