Hello all!

Can you use highlighting (different text backgrounds) in Notes for PPT?

I'm trying, but I can't seem to do this. There is no "shading" option when I
look at the text options in notes.

thanks!

Click View > Toolbars > Outlining. Then, you can click to enable "Show
Formatting".
Now, highlight the words, click shadow on the formatting toolbar or go to
Format > Font and put a checkmark on Shadow.

Chris,
If you add formatting or other objects to your notes, they will not show up
in the notes pane of normal view. If you wish to see the formatting, go to
View--> Notes and see your notes from there.

In addition, while there is not the native ability to add shading to text,
you can add an autoshape over the text to be highlighted. Set the fill on
that autoshape to 50% or higher transparency and then send it to back.
Again, this won't show in the normal view, but it will show in Notes view.
