cancelling a project

Hi
Project Pro 2002
Project Server 2002
PWA

We have a major project underway at present and it has been decided to
cancel it and take a different approach.
I would like to close down the existing plan, thereby releasing the
enterprise resources, without losing the data already entered, or
altering the dates.
This way I can look back on what we thought we would be doing and
compare it with the new plan.
Please can somebody tell me how I would do this?
Many thanks
lynne

Save the project as an .mpp file, which will preserve all of your original
estimates and historic actuals. Ask your Project Server administrator to
delete the project from the Project Server database, which will release the
resources from the project. Once you have created your new plan and saved
it in the Project Server database, you can always open your old plan and
compare the two. Hope this helps.
