cannnot get office pro97 installed

Hi I am trying to install Microsoft office pro97 in my
computer. i have windows xp just when i think it is ok.
the message comes up that says MSXBSE35.dll was unable to
register itself in system registry what does this mean
and what can i do? Thanks
