cannot import gif files

For some reason I cannot import gif files into Word. I
have installed the graphics file conversion, but still no
luck. Anyone have any advice?

Could be the .gif filter is corrupt. Rename it to GIFIMP32.old and drag a new
instance from your setup disk.
The filters are in a folder similar to this
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt
