I am trying to load my office 2000 professional onto my new computer which
has windows xp home edition on it.

It won't let me do that - the computer keeps asking for xp pofessional disc
2 which obviously i don't have

will i need to buy a new version of office or is there some way around it

Thanks

Hi, Miss Nic,

What disk do you obviously not have? It's not obvious to the rest of us.

If you have software installed and require a CD, you should have that CD, or
you should be able to get a copy of it.

If you have a valid licence for an Office product, you shouldn't need to buy
a new version, as long as your system requirements meet the minimum required
by the version you own.

I believe shes saying
Trying to install Office2k on an WinXP home pc and the installation is
asking for Winxp SP2 disk
