Cannot open Microsoft Outlook

When I click on the outlook icon, or choose from the
start menu I get an error stating, "cannot open microsoft
outlook" I tried to repair from the install wizard and I
uninstalled and re-installed.
The computer is running win 2000 pro.
Please help!
