Cannot open PPT files with Office 2003

Mike Ibarra

Hello. I've been having some problems trying to open PPT files that were made
using MS Office 2000 and cannot be opened on MS Office 2003. When I try to
open them double-clicking on files, they start to open, but all of the
sudden, Power Point closes and cannot let me see the file.

I've tried even renaming the files and this doesn't seem to work. I sent the
file to another person that has Office 2000 and doesn't seem to be a problem
at all.

By the way, there is no message displayed on the screen, Power Point just
gets closed. Can anyone help?

Have you installed service pack 1? Go to Help > Check for Updates and follow
the links. If you need it, it will be installed.

The first place to start is by updating Office 2003 with Service Pack 1. Open
PowerPoint, go to the Help menu, and choose Check for updates. Follow the
instruction to apply SP1. That is likely to fix your problem.
