cannot open Word

I cannot open Word. I have Millenium Windows & Misrosoft Office 2000 Small Busniess - on a home computer.

I reinstalled Microsoft Office 2000. I can open EXCEL and all other programs, but when I try to open Word the Word screen appears on the screen but then the process stops.

Any suggestions?
