Cannot overide text in word doc

C

Craig

When a user opens or creates a word doc and highlights half of the text in a
word or paragraph they should be able to type some text which will overide
the highlighted text. But it does not, It just inserts the new text at the
begining of the highlighted text. For example "sdfsfsdfadad(new text inserts
here)(highlighted text still stays). This is happening to about 20 - 30
users. Any ideas.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK.
