Cannot Provision PWA site

Anand

Hi All,
We have a 64 bit farm
1) 1 WFE and Appp
2) 1 WFE
3) 1 Back end SQL server farm environment with MOSS 2007 SP2.
As per the technet installation document/guidance
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197558.aspx , we followed the
process – But are not able to provision a project web access site.

Here are the steps which we followed:
1) Quiesce the farm
2) Take a full farm back up
3) Installed Project Server 2007 SP1 ( X64 version)
4) Run Sharepoint technologies and products configuration tool
5) Restart the server
6) Steps 3 to 5 on 1) and 2) ( APP and WFE server)
7) Start Project Application Server on 1 ( starts successfully)
8) De-quiesce the farm
All the above steps were successful.
Here is where we are facing an issue:
1) Provision the Project Server 2007 site on the farm
a. On the Shared Service Provider 1 when I try to create a project web
access site we get the following error “project application service doesn't
exist or is stopped†and it is failing to open the wizard screens for
provision the Project web access site.

We have searched in all public forums but haven’t been able to figure out a
solution so far.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi Anand,

Did you start the project application service on your app server and
did you check the service is actually running in services.msc?
Look for the project eventing service and the project queueing
service. Both should be started and starttype should be set to
automatic.

Hope this helps.

Rudolf
