Cannot Publish Infopath Forms: URL is not valid

L

LY

We are unable to publish forms from Infopath 2007 (MOSS 2007) to Sharepoint
2007.

We have tried numerous configurations, including the default installation as
well as setting up a farm, using the default database set-up as well as using
SQL 2005 and always reach an impasse when we go to publish: Error message:
"The following URL is not valid."

In addition to the setup variations, we have tried turning off the System
Event Notification service, but to no avail.

We are stuck! Help!

How odd,
2 questions about the exact same thing at the exact same time....
Anyway, if you could tell me like Marshall what URL you are using in
InfoPath to publish to MOSS that'd be great.
cheers
Bruce

LY happens to be a colleague of mine who has been working with Infopath and
Moss on a different group of servers and we were comparing notes about our
experience with this product.

Hello

I have also been facing the same issue for quite some time. What I have
noticed is
If you create your template based on compatibility with *infopath only* and
then change
your compatibility of form to *Infopath Form Services and Infopath*, this
issue is observed.

Try changing the compatibility settings and then change it back to see if it
helps.
If possible recreate the new form and try to publishing it.

Hope this helps
