Cannot start any office 2007 application

I have installed a MS Office Professional 2007 on my desktop PC. But I cannot
open any of the office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc). I
have logged in with a user id having "Administrator" access.

The other 2 users on the PC (with 'limited access') can open these
application just fine.

The way around for me now (when logged into my user-id) is to start the
application as a "Administrator" (default user when OS was installed).

FYI: XP Pro SP3. Custom built desktop PC.
