I've had Microsoft Office XP Professional 2003 Beta on my
system for a few months now. I recently uninstalled and
reinstalled it.

Since then everytime I open Outlook 2003 Beta and then
close it it gives me an error message. When trying to
uninstall, reinstall, or repair Office 2003 the system
either never starts, gives me a error message saying
something like Windows Installer not installed, or an
immediate message of "Microsoft Office XP Professional
Setup has completed successfully", never giving me the
option to customize reinstall or uninstall anything.

This happens whenever I use a Microsoft Office CD such as
2002, 2003 Beta, Professional and Standard editions. I
have copies of each one. One came with my computer, 2
came from my school, and 1 came from a Microsoft
conference I went to. So none of it is pirated or burnt
software except for the copy that I got from my school
which is licensed and which I have used numerous times
before.

If someone could please help me it would be greatly
appreciated. If you could, email me ASAP.

What is it that you want to do? Install Office XP? Office System 2003?

What do you show installed under Control Panel->Add/Remove programs? If you
uninstall all Office versions, do you get the same error messages - BTW,
please post the exact error message for us to assist.

I have the same problem.

The added element is that I supposedly removed the Beta through the control panel. However, the item is still listed there, though without the remove/modify button.

Absolutely NOTHING has worked, after hours - days, actually - of reading and attempting to remove the Beta program.
