Can't drag and drop in Word 2007 with Vista 32bit

I can not drag and drop in Word 2007. A picture, word art, anything. I also
can not cut and paste to get around this either. The cut and paste comes up
with two choices of move here or copy here. This does not work either. I
tried in Excel and drag and drop is fine. I have only once got this to work
with 2 of the 4 pictures inserted. They are the same type of photo, so this
is not a compatability issue. I have tried looking at "snap to grid" to see
if this was it. It seems as if there is some computer language missing to
allow this function to work. This also has nothing to do with wrapping
around text. This happens with just a picture, with text - all the time.
Any help will be appreciated as this makes Word not function as I need it to.

Thanks!

Sounds like the DATA key is corrupt. Run Regedit and navigate until you
expose DATA, select it and press delete. Word will recreate a new key when
it is next started.

THANK YOU! I've been going crazy trying to figure out what went wrong. Your solution worked perfectly and I'm back in drag and drop business! Now, if only Acrobat 9.4.5 issues were so easy to fix...!
