Can't find a file

I am trying to insert a picture into a Publisher 2007 newsletter. This is
what I am doing: I have the picture into a file folder. Then go
to...Insert, Picture, From File, I see the picture on the file folder but
when ever I open it-it is not there.

I go out of publisher and try and open it with no problem. Not sure what to
do differently. Thanks!

It is a jpg. I have two other "pictures" in jpg format and have had no
problems. I tried to copy and paste it by using the link. Didn't work. When
I open the picture, it won't let me copy and paste it directly. I tried
saving it in a file and then copy and pasting, didn't work. Any other ideas?

Can you drag and drop? What program do you use to view images?

Did you try opening it in a photo program (Photoshop, etc) and resaving it
using a different name? Making sure it's a jpg and where you save it.
Of course this wouldn't say why you don't see it the first time.
I had that happen once, I could find it and open it but not from browse in
Publisher. Forget why (now) maybe something like not having "show all files"
checked, and only getting certain ones.
