I need help to solve this problem. I have no problem with my own PC but with
the other user. When user attach powerpoint 2003 file in Outlook 2003 insert
as Hyperlink, see sample below:
<file://\\servername\public\Training\CX_4.ppt>
File will open only as Powerpoint show not directly into the Outline/Slide.
I really need help to solve this problem. Every computer are running Office
2003 Professional with SP2.

I tried with my computer is working fined not with 2 other users. Our setup
is Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 and I already check file association,
they're the same.

Thanks.

If the person saves the PPT file to their hard drive and double-clicks to
open it, does it open in show mode or in edit mode?

This is only a hyperlink from the server not a real powerpoint. There is no
need to save it on to the hdd.

Look, I tried to help you over in office.misc, and you said there the file
associations are okay. I suggested making sure that they are set to *open,*
not to *show,* but you didn't respond and instead posted here. That's fine,
but I'm still trying to figure out if it's a PPT issue or an Outlook issue
or what. But if you can't be bothered to save the file to the harddrive to
test, then fine, don't.
